2. Description of Service

SchoolParent.ai provides email automation and summarization tools designed to help parents manage school-related communications. Our services include:

• Email Ingestion & Filtering: Automatic fetching of emails from connected Gmail or Outlook accounts, filtered by school sender addresses you provide.
• AI Summarization: Generating concise summaries of school emails and extracting key information like events and deadlines.
• OCR Processing: Extracting text from attached images and PDFs to include in summaries.
• Notifications: Sending summaries and reminders via WhatsApp.
• Calendar Integration: Providing temporary links to add extracted events to your personal calendar.

3. User Accounts & Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account, including valid contact information.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• By connecting your email account, you expressly authorise SchoolParent.ai to access, process, and analyse email content and attachments for the purpose of providing the Service.
• You are responsible for defining accurate "Child Profiles" and school sender emails to ensuring only relevant emails are processed.
• You are a parent, carer or legal guardian of any minor whose information you input into SchoolParent.ai and you have the right to use the Service in relation to that minor.
• You confirm that you have full legal authority to provide and process any personal data relating to a child, including consent where required under applicable data protection laws.
• Your use of the Service is legal in the jurisdiction in which you reside.

4. Acceptable Use & Fair Usage

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload or transmit any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, or abusive.
• Interfere with, reverse engineer, or disrupt the integrity or performance of, or otherwise manipulate the Service or the software used to provide the Service.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems.
• Connect email accounts that you do not own or have permission to access.
• Share your login and account details with any other person.
• SchoolParent.ai does not have any official relationship with Gmail, Outlook or any other email and/or similar service providers referenced in the Service. A link from the Service to any other company or organisation does not constitute any form of endorsement of said third party.

Fair Usage Policy:

• The Service is subject to rate limits on WhatsApp messages and AI processing to prevent abuse.
• Excessive usage that impacts system performance for other users may result in temporary throttling or account suspension.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by SchoolParent.ai and are protected by international copyright, trade mark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws. You may not reproduce any intellectual property contained as part of the Service without our express prior consent in writing.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. SchoolParent.ai makes no representations or warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

SchoolParent.ai makes no representations, warranties or undertakings that the services will be free of errors, malfunctions or interruptions.

We are not responsible for the availability, security, or functionality of third-party services including email providers like Gmail or Outlook, messaging platforms (e.g. WhatsApp), or calendar services.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or continuous availability of the Service and may suspend, withdraw, or restrict access at any time for maintenance or operational reasons.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or pose a risk to the platform or other users.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

AI Disclaimer: AI-generated summaries and OCR text extraction may not be 100% accurate or complete. AI may occasionally hallucinate (generate incorrect or fabricated information). Always double-check AI-generated content against the original source. You should always verify critical information (especially dates, times, and payment details) with the original source emails. We are not responsible for missed deadlines or misinformation resulting from AI errors or hallucinations.

We do not guarantee that all emails, events, or data will be successfully processed or retained. Users are responsible for maintaining their own records.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall SchoolParent.ai, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

We reserve the right to introduce paid features or subscription plans. Pricing and terms will be clearly communicated.

• You may not assign, transfer, charge or otherwise deal with your rights under these Terms to any third party without our express prior written consent. We may assign, transfer or otherwise charge or deal with our rights under these Terms as we may require from time to time but only where such exercise of said rights will not prejudice your rights.
• You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SchoolParent.ai from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of the Service, including any breach of these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and your use of the Service are governed by and will be interpreted in accordance with the laws of Gibraltar and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Gibraltar in relation to any dispute.
